The open air museums offers different programme modules for children:
A: Tour through the village museum (Betty Bernstein Tour)
A walk through the old village with a visit to the houses of the craftsmen, the ancient tavern and the water-mill with it´s big shovel-wheel. The children discover nature in the traditional farmer gardens and learn about life in former times.
B: Tour the "living farm"
Children learn about life and work of farmers in former times and visit the animal on the farm.
C: "Baking bread"
The children hear about the different seeds and how bread is made. After that everybody bakes it´s own piece of bread - and tastes it after it comes out of the oven.
D: The farmer´s garden
The children gets information about plants and spices in a traditional farmer´s garden. They hear about the healing powers of some plants and how such a garden needs to be treat. Apart from that riddle-ralleys, trivias, cooking and carriage tours can be arranged. Highlight of the Betty Bernstein-Acitivities in the museumsvillage are special Events for children like " Magic festival with Betty Bernstein" (magician, circus artists, storyteller perform one day in may)
